I absolutely love photography, and would be delighted if asked to be your wedding photographer. Through many years experience in various genres, I feel I have developed a fairly good understanding of how to successfully photograph weddings. I love how there are different "sections" to the day, each of which demanding their own skill set. From morning prep and the detail shots, the emotional portraits of first looks and reactions, the intimate ceremony moments, encapsulating the landscape or available surroundings for some couple shots, to the people skills required when mingling with your guests and all the crazy dancing shots - there's a wide range of skills required to perform well throughout the day - and I love the challenge involved! I feel having been a secondary school teacher for over 10 years has served me well in being able to work with all sorts of people and personalities (and kids!!), in many ways the demands of a wedding day have a lot of parallels with the demands of a typical day at school!

All packages (excluding platinum) below will be delivered within 8 weeks following your wedding day. They all include an online gallery that you can share with friends, download any images from and also order prints if you wish, but you do also receive full printing rights yourselves.

I will be there for approximately 12 hours on the day, from some morning prep through to a few songs after the first dance.

- Full day photography coverage, including both bridal and groom prep, the ceremony, family photos, couple shoot, candids of guests, speeches, first dance and dancing.
- Full day video coverage, to include a video of the ceremony in full, speeches in full and first dance in full. All in 2.8K.
- A 3-5 minute highlight video in 2.8K.
- Choice between an online digital gallery or a custom USB box for delivery of the videos.
- All photos and videos will be provided within 12 weeks following the wedding day.
Optional extras:
- Both an online digital gallery AND a personalised USB box for delivery of videos for £150.

Pre-Wedding Shoot - £250
Add a pre-wedding shoot at anytime for £250. These can be a great way to get used to being in front of a camera, experience what the photoshoot will be like on the day of the wedding and can even help build the excitement ahead of the wedding! I'm happy to go anywhere relatively local to Aberdeen for the shoot, but normally recommend picking a location that perhaps means something to you both - these are photos you'll be able to look back on for all the years to come, so might as well be in a special place! I am happy to recommend locations if you need some advice. The photos can also be handy for things like: save the dates, table decorations at the reception, a photo memory display for guests to see etc. Another small benefit of the pre-wedding shoot is you'll also get to see how your final online gallery will look/work, as delivery of your pre-wedding photos will be via an online gallery with download PIN and built in optional printing purchase lab. If you'd like to add/include a pre-wedding shoot to your package, please just ask!

FAQ
How do you photograph weddings?
Predominantly in a documentary fashion. I will photograph the day as it happens, without getting involved too much. I'll chat away to you and/or your guests where appropriate, but will keep my distance during those intimate moments and will let you enjoy your day as much as I can. When we go for a short walk for some couple shots, I will give you some small cues to bring out the best for your photos, but won't force any poses on you, won't ask you to do anything you're not comfortable with, and will let you get back to your guests as quickly as possible!
Where are you based and do you travel?
I am based just south of Aberdeen but happy to travel. The prices above are valid for any weddings based in or around Aberdeen. An additional fee may be applicable for distant weddings.
When will we get our photos?
Your will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within 8 weeks. You can download all the photos from the gallery but also share the link with family/friends, choose your favourites, and also order prints! You will also receive a USB with display box so you also have a copy of your gallery to hand.
How many pictures will we receive?
It really depends on the day. Any shots I think may be of value will be kept (so if it's in focus and exposed well then it'll likely be kept!). In my experience, if it's just me, a very rough ballpark figure would be anything between 400-1000 for a final gallery. If a second shooter is included, anything from 800-1400 is likely!
How do we book?
If you decide to go with me for either/both videography/photography, I ask for a £400 non-refundable deposit to be paid along with signing of an electronic contract. An invoice for the deposit along with a contract can be sent out once I have received confirmation of the package you would like to go for. The remaining balance is due in full no later than one week prior to the wedding.
