I absolutely love photography, and would be delighted if asked to be your wedding photographer. Through many years experience in various genres, I feel I have developed a fairly good understanding of how to successfully photograph weddings. I love how there are different "sections" to the day, each of which demanding their own skill set. From morning prep and the detail shots, the emotional portraits of first looks and reactions, the intimate ceremony moments, encapsulating the landscape or available surroundings for some couple shots, to the people skills required when mingling with your guests and all the crazy dancing shots - there's a wide range of skills required to perform well throughout the day - and I love the challenge involved! I feel having been a secondary school teacher for over 10 years has served me well in being able to work with all sorts of people and personalities (and kids!!), in many ways the demands of a wedding day have a lot of parallels with the demands of a typical day at school!

All packages (excluding platinum) below will be delivered within 12 weeks following your wedding day. They all include an online gallery that you can share with friends, download any images from and also order prints if you wish, but you do also receive full printing rights yourselves. All digital photography galleries I deliver are guaranteed for a minimum of 1 year.

Newly updated from June 2026: My hybrid package is effectively the silver photography package and the bronze videography package together, what's included is outlined below. I will be there for approximately 12 hours on the day, from some morning prep through to a few songs after the first dance, the second photographer will finish either at the end of the speeches. PLEASE NOTE: no highlight video or teaser is available in this package. Video coverage is only for the ceremony and speeches.
Included in the coverage:
- Full day photography coverage, including both partner prep, the ceremony, family photos, couple shoot, candids of guests, speeches, first dance and dancing.
- Second photographer from prep until end of speeches.
- Video coverage to include a video of the ceremony in full and a video of all speeches in full. All delivered in 2.8K resolution.
- An online gallery for the delivery of the photos. Guaranteed for 1 year, digital download available.
- An online gallery for delivery of the videos. Guaranteed for 10 years, 1 year for full resolution download (web friendly only thereafter).
- All photos and videos will be provided within 12 weeks following the wedding day.
Optional extras:
- 4K video export upgrade for £300.

Pre wedding shoot

A pre-wedding shoot can be added to a booking at any time prior to the wedding. Pre-wedding shoots can be great for couples who are a little anxious about being in front of the camera, those who would like some professional photos of themselves on their journey, or even for use on something like a "save the date" or a wedding invitation. Every couple I've had a pre-wedding shoot with have come away saying they enjoyed it a lot more than they thought they would, have really loved the photos and have said it helped them feel more comfortable ahead of the big day!

FAQ
How do you photograph weddings?
Predominantly in a documentary fashion. I will photograph the day as it happens, without getting involved too much. I'll chat away to you and/or your guests where appropriate, but will keep my distance during those intimate moments and will let you enjoy your day as much as I can. When we go for a short walk for some couple shots, I will give you some small cues to bring out the best for your photos, but won't force any poses on you, won't ask you to do anything you're not comfortable with, and will let you get back to your guests as quickly as possible!
Where are you based and do you travel?
I am based just south of Aberdeen but happy to travel. The prices above are valid for any weddings based in or around Aberdeen. An additional fee may be applicable for distant weddings.
When will we get our photos?
Your will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within 8 weeks. You can download all the photos from the gallery but also share the link with family/friends, choose your favourites, and also order prints! You will also receive a USB with display box so you also have a copy of your gallery to hand.
How many pictures will we receive?
It really depends on the day. Any shots I think may be of value will be kept (so if it's in focus and exposed well then it'll likely be kept!). In my experience, if it's just me, a very rough ballpark figure would be anything between 400-1000 for a final gallery. If a second shooter is included, anything from 800-1400 is likely!
How do we book?
If you decide to go with me for either/both videography/photography, I ask for a £400 non-refundable deposit to be paid along with signing of an electronic contract. An invoice for the deposit along with a contract can be sent out once I have received confirmation of the package you would like to go for. The remaining balance is due in full no later than one week prior to the wedding.
